My Story

My name is Raj Singh, and I am a Post Producer & Creative Head with over 19 years of experience in the Indian film and television industry. Ever since I was young, I have had a strong passion for visual storytelling, and I have dedicated myself to honing this skill throughout my career. With a diverse background in Content Research, Live Events, Films, and Television Production, I have amassed over 18 years of experience in this multi-disciplinary field.

My journey began in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, the city known for its rich cultural heritage. At the age of 15, I started my career in production at Isha Television. Initially, I joined with the aspiration of becoming an actor, but fate had other plans. I began as a light man and production management assistant, and eventually, I discovered my interest in editing during my time in the edit room. This revelation prompted me to pursue a path in editing, and I joined a local news and programming channel in Varanasi called Siti Cable (a group of ZEE Turner). There, I enjoyed editing videos, news segments, and programs while also completing my graduation in Mass Communication.

During my educational journey, I secured a position at E.TV, U.P/U.K. Lucknow, where I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of my boss, Pankaj Srivastava. He supported my professional development by allowing me to complete my Post Graduation in Mass Communication and a PG Diploma in Electronic Media Management & Film Production. After spending three years at E.TV, I joined Big Magic (Reliance Broadcast Ltd.) in Kanpur as a Pro-Editor, further expanding my skill set.

Later, I relocated to Mumbai, where I encountered a new career opportunity. I had the privilege of working with Ahmed Khan, a renowned choreographer and director of the "Baaghi" movie series. It was during this time that I edited my first song as an online editor for the movie "Kick" - "Yaar Na Miley" in both Nargis Fakri and Jaquelin Fernandes versions. I progressed to the production department, where I continuously aimed to bring exhilarating and contemporary ideas to make shows more enthralling and captivating, resulting in positive responses from both target audiences and clients. As a Senior Producer, Post Production Head, and HOD, I had the privilege of working on various live events and corporate films for over a decade.

In 2014, I took a significant step in my career by establishing my own company in Mumbai, named Benaras Bang Entertainment. Through this venture, I provided comprehensive post-production services, including editing, DI, VFX, and full CG (2D & 3D). As an independent Senior Editor and Post Producer, I have collaborated with esteemed clients and brands such as Cilsaag Motion Picture, Autodesk, Wot Production, MTV, Doordarshan, Zee TV, Sab TV, ICICI Bank, Leadership Centre, Go-Fish Entertainment, ICICI Prudential, L & T, and many more.

I thoroughly enjoy the process of building narratives and storytelling structures in collaboration with directors, clients, and brands, whether it's for fiction, non-fiction, documentaries, or sports telecasts. As a strategic visual designer, I strive to tailor ideas that align with the vision and requirements of each project, ensuring the highest standards of creative excellence and service.

Throughout my journey, I have gained extensive experience, working with a wide range of clients and projects, and I am committed to delivering exceptional results while maintaining a focus on creative excellence. I am passionate about my work and take pride in my ability to create captivating visual experiences that resonate with audiences.
